SALTHOUSE FARM PARK, SEVERN BEACH. TELEPHONE NUMBER - 01275 390411

Salthouse Farm Park is a stunning 8-acre private residential estate for retired and semi-retired people, aged 50 plus, located in South Gloucestershire on the edge of the village of Severn Beach. The park is licenced for 65 homes.

Four new homes have recently been added, to bring the current total up to 61. The estate is off  the main road system and entered by an impressive 300m private drive.

Salthouse Farm was originally a dairy farm, then a holiday site.  The residential park, as it is now, was completed in 2006, and purchased by Elderflower Park Homes in January 2022.

The field that runs alongside the right hand side of the impressive 300m entrance drive, the peaceful setting often sees sheep grazing, all within sight of the busy Prince of Wales Bridge. The lot of the rural character of the past has been maintained, and there are plenty of visitor parking spaces.  The old stable block is retained, there are no horses around these days, but it is still an impressive opening view of the park.

A reminder of the park's past history as a holiday park is a children's play area, sited at the end of the entrance drive, which is still very popular with visiting grandchildren and children from the local community.

The private park is watched over by both CCTV and ANPR cameras.  Many knowledgeable sources rate Salthouse Farm in the top five park home estates in the UK. The sale and purchase of the majority of park homes is conducted via estate agencies (see Park Homes - useful information). All Salthouse Park Homes are owned by the occupiers.

The lovely grounds are spacious, and homes are completed with individual parking and a garage or a shed. Access around the park is on wide, level roads. No parking is permitted on the roads in the park, but there are plenty of visitor parking speces provided.  A restricted speed limit is operative within the park.

Also on the site is a secure storage compound with facilities, now extended, for 45 caravans / motorhomes/ trailers. This facility is available for non-residents of Salthouse Farm for a minimum rental period of 6 months. The compound is always in high demand and there is a waiting list for spaces.

Nearby, extensive sea defences have been constructed, and provide a popular walkway right under the Prince of Wales bridge, through to New Passage and, eventually, Aust.  In 2022 BBC TV filmed sequences for Rain Dogs (starring Daisy May Cooper) right ourtside the private gate from the park to the sea wall. In 2023 Channel 4 TV filmed sequences for Truelove (starring Lindsay Duncan and Clarke Peters) very close by.

Salthouse Farm has easy access from the M4, M5 and M48 motorways. The park is conveniently situated in close proximity to the village shops, and the south-west's premier shopping mall is sited just 6 miles away, at Cribbs Causeway.
